We are working with the new local beat team to set Parish priorties. To that end we have tasked the police to initially concentrate on fly tipping and traffic speed along the A370 as well as within the Parish Boundary, along with their other day to day duties..

Fire Safety Information

Last year there was a tragic house fire in Congresbury where unfortunately there was a fatality.

The Fire Brigade are very keen to offer their advice (for free) and will give a Home Fire Safety Visit - and they can offer FREE smoke alarms. Forms for a home visit are in each of the Yatton and Congresbury Doctors surgeries. Those interested need to fill them in and post them in the box in the surgery. They will then be collected by the fire brigade who will contact the person to arrange for the visit and to offer appropriate advice and assistance where possible.
The Parish Council fully support this initiative which we feel is a very helpful scheme for the community, we therefore urge Parishioners to take the opportunity of having this free advice as soon as possible.
