Heading letter to National Grid
The week after Christmas invitations were sent out to the under 5's for the next stage of the government's swine flu vaccination programme.
Invitations have also been sent out to those patients who need 2 jabs (because they have suppressed immune systems) to come for their second jabs. Yeo Valley is now in a position to also vaccinate their household members.
The main clinic for these patients is Saturday 9th January in Yatton. The under 5's should come before 11am.
The patients for their 2nd jabs and their household members should telephone the surgery for an appointment during Surgery hours prior to the 9th, These appointments will be allocated between 11.15 and 1.15 on the 9th.
Patients with chronic diseases in the key at risk groups who have not yet had their seasonal flu will be contacted by the Surgery to encourage them to come, but there will be another, separate, clinic for them as to encourage them to come amongst a lot of screaming children may not be ideal!.
Other news - Interviews are in progress during the next couple of weeks for a new partner to replace Dr Taylor, so there will be more news on that front in due course.
The building is progressing well in Yatton. The scaffolding is due to be down by the end of January/early February and the new on site Pharmacy to be open by the end of February.

A370 Speed and Traffic Issues
On the 11th Nov the Chairman and the Clerk visited NSDC to ask about a proposed activated speed signs for the A370 in Hewish. The officer explained as outlined below.
Puxton PC welcomes this improvement and see this as a further indication that the A370 is recognised as a road in need of improvement. The PC will look in more detail at the accident statistics as a whole throughout the Parish.
